Following the radical conceptual design he trialed in Milan for a pair of green towers, Italian architect Stefano Boeri has now proposed a new eco vertical forest tower located in the Chavannes-Près-Renens district of Lausanne.
Should the 36-storey and 117-metre-tall building get past planning permission, it will consist of several offices, a gym and a panoramic restaurant on its top floor.
This new green construction would sustain 100 evergreen cedar trees, 6,000 shrubs and 18,000 various plants. The project name is La Tour des Cedres, or The Cedar Trees Tower in English.
